This versatile root has a myriad of internal uses and has been used as a food plant in Eastern cuisine. Primarily valued for its cleansing and skin smoothing properties, Burdock has been an ingredient in hair tonics and in cosmetics for mature skin. It promotes the flow of bile and is a mild diuretic. It is acrid bitter cold, and sweet in flavor.

Suggested Uses: Add to soups, cooking, smoothies, baths, etc. Infuse in water or olive oil. For hot or cold tea, pour 8-12 oz of boiling water over 1 tsp. of herbs. Steep 3-4 min.
